Payment Options

Northern Mutual provides several methods to make your policy payment.

Please Note: To avoid a late fee or cancellation, payment must be submitted on or before the stated due date.

Credit Card

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Reoccurring credit card payment options are available. Please contact your agent if you are interested. The total amount to be charged to your card will be the policy payment amount plus a 2.99% processing fee.

Electronic Check (E-Check)

Checking or Savings acccount.

Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT)

This option will automatically pull your payment from your checking or savings account on a recurring basis. This will eliminate any service fees and you will have no interruption in coverage. If you would like to set up automated EFT withdrawals for future payment, please contact your agent.

How to make a one-time payment

To make a one-time credit card or electronic check payment:

  • Call your agency or company and provide the information over the telephone.

  • Go to the consumer log in and select "Make a payment."

This is a non-recurring transaction and will have to be repeated to pay any future outstanding balance due. If you have more than one policy with Northern Mutual, you will have to submit separate payments for each policy (i.e. auto and home policy).
